Model & Texture - Blender

During my time at Fairbanks Morse Defense I created assets and animation for work instructions for FMD product lines. I created 3D assets in Blender for marketing purposes which includes 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, animation and rendering. I optimized the Blender Cycles and EEVEE render engine by retopologizing complex CAD models. I researched preliminary Unity Engine integration for work constructions. I built reusable geometry node pipelines and procedural effects.

During my time at the Cleveland Institute of Art I developed character rigging skills in Autodesk Maya. I then expanded this technical skillset into using Blender’s Geometry Node system for visual effects. My thesis short film Cordyceps is a showcase of my technical skillset in both Blender and Maya. I focused on rigging, VFX, cinematography in the storyboards, and compositing. As a part of the film making process, I was also directing the pipeline of the film using organizational software and extra attributes such as the Blender Asset Library.

Case Western Reserve University Motorsports is a student team that designs, builds, tests, and races an off-road vehicle for the international Baja SAE competition. During this competition they asses vehicle level design elements such as Acceleration, Suspension, Endurance and more.

Utilizing 3D pipelines such as UV unwrapping and retopology, I tackled the idea of making custom printed vehicle vinyl to place on the car panels.

I had pitched multiple designs, incorporated team critiques, legitimized unknown operations, and finalized a 3D-to physical application pipeline I was previously unfamiliar with.

Similarly, I optimized topology and UV mapped textures for Unreal Engine rendering in Twinmotion for additional car components such as the shocks.

Fabrication

As a lead fabrication technician at Sears think[box] , I manage a 15-person team of student fabrication technicians: introducing projects, facilitating weekly staff meetings, training team members on safe machine operation and ensuring technician growth. I educate users with hands-on demonstrations of equipment such as wood shop machinery, metal shop machinery, welding and the waterjet cutter. I maintain inventory records of all machinery components and perform routine maintenance on the machines and maintain a clean shop environment. I communicate and collaborate with users to achieve a desired outcome of their projects.
