HeY, I’m Vivian.

I’m a senior at the Cleveland Institute of Art studying Animation with a focus on character rigging and 3D visual effects. My personal work centers on the human form and expressive storytelling across both digital and traditional media.

In my most recent role with Fairbanks Morse Defense, I created 3D assets for the F.M.D. marketing team using Blender. This experience strengthened my skills in modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation while giving me practical insight into collaborative production. Alongside this work, I am currently developing my senior thesis short film, where I focus heavily on character rigging in Autodesk Maya and procedural VFX using Blender Geometry Nodes. This project has allowed me to explore the 3D pipeline more deeply while experimenting with new visual and technical approaches.

Beyond animation, I have actively pursued hands-on technical experiences. In 2023, I began working as a Fabrication Technician at Sears think[box] while also joining an engineering design team at Case Western that builds off-road racing vehicles. Entering these spaces pushed me far outside my comfort zone, challenging me to learn unfamiliar tools, workflows, and problem-solving methods. I grew into a leadership role at think[box] and now serve as a Student Lead for the fabrication team, helping guide new technicians manage their own development.

I’m driven by curiosity, experimentation, and the process of learning new skills. My current work continues to push the boundaries of my previous understanding of 3D cinematics through playful visual exploration, advanced rendering techniques, and complex compositing workflows. I’m especially motivated by opportunities to collaborate with creative teams and contribute technical and artistic solutions to challenging projects.
