CWRU Motorsports
Case Western Reserve University Motorsports is a student team that designs, builds, tests, and races an off-road vehicle for the international Baja SAE competition. Beginning my 2023-2024 school year at the Cleveland Institute of Art, I was introduced to the CWRU Baja team. They compete in an international SAE competition designing off-road vehicles where they asses level design elements such as Acceleration, Suspension, Endurance and so much more.
My introduction to the team was primarily PR, organizing social media as well as machine access with Sears Think[box] 4th floor Machine Shop.
The team had pitched the idea of incorporating a full car "livery" into SR24 (Spartan Racing 2024) in order to add an additional artistic element to the vehicle design that, at that time, had yet to have been fully incorporated into the team's car necessities.
Utilizing 3D pipelines such as UV unwrapping, I tackled the idea of making custom printed vehicle vinyl to place on the car panels.
I had pitched multiple designs, incorporated team critiques, legitimized unknown operations, and finalized a 3D-to physical application pipeline I was previously unfamiliar with.
